Simple Projects for Updating the Home During Self-Isolation

For many of us, this new normal of working remotely, Zoom meetings, and self-isolation is starting to take a toll. While people wrestle with the big, long-term effects of the novel coronavirus, there are other considerations, too — like what to do all day long. It’s a good question! If you’re looking around your home and feeling uninspired, we’re sharing simple projects for updating the home during self-isolation.
Switch It Up
A fresh perspective is as easy as rearranging some furniture — really! Try the sofa against a different wall, add a console table, move that gorgeous armchair to another room, or switch out table lamps. You don’t have to bring in anything new (but with The Find’s social media channels, phone orders, and curbside pick-up, you absolutely can!), and you might be really surprised at how refreshed your space feels after a little reorganizing.
You can do this on a smaller scale too, by re-styling your bookcases or coffee table. For a fresh, clean arrangement, minimize clutter, keep things neutral, and play up a few of your favorite pieces.
Get Organized
We’re home all day, every day, and things tend to pile up. Entryways and kitchens tend to be the worst offenders, so commit to paring down and organizing both areas. Use a critical eye — a clean, functional, and understated aesthetic can be the calm we all need in this current storm.
Update the Walls
You don’t have to haul out the paint to have an impact. Straightening your art, mirrors, and other wall hangings will pull things together nicely.
